Classroom Resources

The North East has a diverse economy and our region is well recognised as a high quality place to live, learn invest and do business. This toolkit is about helping to provide Labour Market Information or Labour Market Intelligence from the earliest possible age so we can help children to understand the types of jobs available and how they are changing over time.

The North East Combined Authority recognises that our economy is constantly changing. Nevertheless, there are 4 important areas where we can build a stronger North East Economy for the future - Digital, Advanced Manufacturing, Health and Life Sciences and Energy. The resources we have created involve primary-aged children demonstrating employers and employees within these sectors in subject areas we believe are relevant and will complement the primary curriculum across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
