A stable careers programme

Welcome to our benchmark 1 toolkit. We are wanting to bring together resources, advice and guidance on how to make progress towards achieving benchmark 1 in your school or college.

Benchmark 1 focuses on the importance of having a structured careers programme, backed by senior leadership and with an identified and appropriately trained person responsible for it. The programme should be published on the institution’s website, accessible to a range of different stakeholders and regularly reviewed and evaluated.
