The North East Combined Authority coordinates the North East Careers Hub - a community of practice comprising of over 150 Secondary, middle, SEND schools and college careers leaders providing strategic support and guidance to develop quality careers education for each and every young person. Through the Hub, careers leaders have access to one-to-one support to undertake a careers education self-assessment compass review and to develop a careers action plan. In addition to individual support, careers leaders have access to:
- Regular network meetings (both local and regional) to help develop effective communities of practice
- CPD and training opportunities
- Access to the North East Ambition website, containing resources, case studies and links to careers-related learning providers
Aligned to the mayoral missions and strategic aims of the combined authority to make the North East the ‘home of real opportunity’ by embedding inclusive, high-quality careers education from the earliest stages.
