North East Ambition
Our role is to bring educators and employers, together we believe that meaningful collaboration between education and industry is key to unlocking potential, raising aspirations, and tackling inequality.
Our work is rooted in the North East Combined Authority’s Corporate Plan, the Mayor’s mission to make the North East the “Home of Real Opportunity” by building inclusive pathways into employment and supporting the region’s Child Poverty Action Plan - strategies that aim to build a fairer, more inclusive North East. By aligning education with the needs of the labour market, we help ensure that young people are equipped not just with qualifications, but with the skills, experiences, and confidence to thrive.
Working Together For impact:
Whether you're teaching in a classroom or leading a business, North East Ambition offers a platform for shared purpose. By working in partnership, we can ensure that every learner regardless of background has the chance to succeed and contribute to a vibrant regional economy.
- Educators gain access to tools, training, and employer networks to embed high quality, impactful careers education across all phases
- Employers play a vital role in shaping future talent by offering encounters, and experiences that connect learning to the world of work
- Together, we contribute to reducing child poverty by improving access to good jobs and lifelong learning
- We support the Mayor’s mission to make the North East the “Home of Real Opportunity” by building inclusive pathways into employment
