Resources for schools

Showcasing the wide range of careers linked to language learning is an important part of linking curriculum learning to careers, helping students understand the relevance of languages beyond the classroom and the opportunities they can open in the workplace. Language skills are highly valued across many sectors, including business, engineering, healthcare, tourism, diplomacy, education, logistics, digital industries and the creative sector.

To support schools, we partnered with International Newcastle, Newcastle City Council and the Association for Language Learning to develop a range of North East Language and Careers videos and classroom resources, featuring employers and professionals who use languages in their work.

These resources can help bring careers learning into language lessons and inspire students to see the value of language skills in their future career pathways.
