About Newcastle United Foundation

Our organisation is a team of more than 100 permanent and fixed term staff, sessional coaches and volunteers working to provide meaningful opportunities to change and improve the lives of people across the North East.

We use our region’s passion for football to make a difference and help people achieve their goals, on the pitch, in the classroom, in life, inspired by the brand of Newcastle United.

What's on offer

The digital economy is creating rapid growth across the North of Tyne area and students at NUCASTLE are able to develop transferable skills around communication, leadership, strategic thinking and financial planning through esports and STEM learning.

“We are very proud of our shared commitment with the Harrison Foundation to provide the most up-to-date and exciting opportunities to learn and work towards skilled careers available here in the North East.”

Young learners accessing the courses explore all aspects of the growing esports industry, including competitive gaming, livestream event management and game business entrepreneurship, helping to prepare young people for employment in eSTEM and STEM sectors.

Delivered in partnership with Newcastle College, the next generation of competitive gamers can access one and two-year BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications with the opportunity to represent the Foundation in organised Esports tournaments through the academic year.
