About The National Beauty Academy
The National Beauty Academy offer a range of high quality and professional beauty courses to suit your needs and fit in with your lifestyle. Whether you are a beginner looking to start a new career or an existing therapist wishing to update your skills, our courses are designed for you.
Since 2019 we have specialised in training for the make-up, nails and beauty industry. Training takes place at purpose-built academy in the heart of Sunderland.
Our tutors are fully qualified and highly experienced. Each tutor specialises in the subject they teach. They have many years of teaching practice, and some run their own successful beauty businesses.

What's on offer
Overview
We offer VTCT Level 3 Diploma's in Make-Up Artistry, Nail Technology and Combined Beauty Therapy. These will enable you to work as a professional make-up artist, nail technician or beauty therapist.
Course Funding
You can apply for an advanced learner loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider in England. Our induction officer will be there to help and support you when you apply on your enrolment.
Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks. You do not need to pay anything towards this course before you begin earning over the threshold amount. You do not need to start repaying your loan until your income is over a certain amount the ‘threshold’ amount which in this instance is £27,295 per annum. You’ll be charged interest from the day you get the first payment.
You can apply for up to 4 loans and you can get more than one at the same time. You can apply for another loan to take the same level of a course, for example the same level qualification in Massage Therapy if you’ve already had a loan for the same level in Nail Technology. You cannot apply until you get a ‘learning and funding information letter’ from your college or training provider.
Course Requirements
- You must have lived in the UK for 3+ years.
- You must be 19 years old or over to complete this course.
- You must have an original and valid passport or birth certificate to verify your identity and apply for your advanced learner loan.
