With training centres in Newcastle, Billingham and Darlington and 18 full time instructors offering on site courses too, we have the North Easts training needs covered.
With 98% pass rates, we work hard to ensure that all of the candidates who take our courses pass. Our highly experienced staff train 1000s of people each year so you can be sure you're learning from experts.
Government funded courses available, meaning you don't have to pay a penny for some of our training. We offer regular course start dates so you can start learning new skills right away.
Excellent employment opportunities with over 50% of our learners gaining immediate employment following training at HST.
What's on offer
To give an overview, we deliver the level 1 certificate in warehouse & storage and then progress learners onto the level 2 certificate in warehouse & storage and wrap this around either forklift truck, mobile access platform courses (IPAF) or telehandler training courses.
Learners who wish to train on an additional machine can come back and do either reach truck or telehandler or they can do mobile elevated work platforms, the additional machine offer is subject to adequate funding being available which it currently is.
Warehouse level 1 courses are held weekly on a roll on roll off basis. We can accept approximately 20 learners at Newcastle and 10 at Billingham each month.
Level 2 courses are held constantly throughout the month, every month. As an incentive to those learners who complete levels 1 and 2 in warehousing we also hold free monthly open courses for emergency first aid, IOSH site safety awareness and PASMA mobile scaffold.
Additionally, we have funding available for HGV training and construction plant such as dumper truck and ride on roller for learners living in North of Tyne areas.
