About Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust
The Trust works from more than 70 sites across Cumbria, Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland. We also run a number of regional and national specialist services. Along with partners, we deliver support to people in their own homes, and from community and hospital-based premises. We have around 9,000 people working for us and a budget of over £537 million. The services we provide are divided into four sections, which are organised geographically into “locality care groups”. These are known as North, Central, South and Cumbria.

What's on offer
We invite applications from individuals aged 16 and above (unless specified within particular advertisements) - our programmes combine working with studying for a work-based qualification.
Apprenticeships have developed and we have now enrolled individuals onto programmes from Level 2 (Intermediate) all the way to Level 7 (Higher/Master's Degree). Our Apprenticeships and Career Development Team also provides Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to current members of staff as well as those looking to start their career via an apprenticeship route.
Apprentices can be new starters, and current employees can also sign up. You don’t have to be a school leaver and can consider an apprenticeship at any point in your career. So far we’ve had apprentices in operational administration, recruitment, nursing, medical staffing, pharmacy, quality observatory, communications, finance, IT, the Recovery College, Trust Innovation, Library and Knowledge Services and GP practices via the CCG groups (both healthcare and business admin - the possibilities are endless!
The apprenticeship programmes are fully funded via the Apprenticeship Levy and apprentices are paid UK National Minimum Wage as per age range.
