About Barnardos
At Barnardo’s we deliver a range of programmes for young people aged 14-29 years, ranging from school vocational programmes, 16-19 Study programmes, Apprenticeships and Adult Education.
All these programmes cover a range of occupations. These include;
- Hairdressing
- Beauty Therapy
- Business Administration
- Retail
- Warehousing
- Painting & Decorating.
We are supported by a local and national employer who provide many work-experience opportunities to further support skills development and employment.
In addition to the occupational programmes, teaching and learning in maths and English, along with employability training and high levels of individual support from a skilled and experienced staff team.
Based in North Shields, we cover North Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland and South Tyneside.
What's on offer
All programmes and courses are delivered to meet individual needs of learners. We do not operate on a 'September starts only' basis. Instead, we are recruiting young people across the full year and will tailor delivery to suit their individual needs.
