Think, Solve, Succeed: Maths and Careers in Action

These brand-new primary maths resources bring local careers to life through real-world problem-solving. Developed in partnership with Winning with Numbers, each pack explores key sectors within the North East Combined Authority and links them to meaningful maths learning.

Each resource includes:

  • Curriculum-linked activities
  • Realistic job profiles
  • Teacher guidance and support materials

These resources aim to raise aspirations, build local knowledge, and show how maths is used every day in the world of work.

Get into STEM Kits

The Get into STEM Programme is Esh Group’s response to an industry skills shortage across STEM subjects. The programme provides free resources to teachers of EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils to inspire an interest in STEM learning.

The Kit and accompanying workshop plans, positively shape career aspirations whilst developing skills essential for STEM careers. Each kit contains bright and vibrant resources such as foam bricks, measuring equipment, literature and personal protective equipment.

Together with Esh Group, the North East Combined Authority are delighted to have funded 6 additional Key Stage 1 Get into STEM kits to be hosted within the Primary Network Career Champions’ schools. The kit can be booked for free by Network schools for a period of two weeks to use in school with EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
